For my future plans, I want to go to Michigan State University and graduate with either a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing. I want to work in a hospital or clinic and eventually advance my career and become a nurse practitioner.
My work ethics survey guide guided me towards a career in the Health Profession, which is what I really wanted. The main selling point in Nursing was working with people. I love being around people and learning about them. The flexible hours and great pay was also a good selling point. I chose Michigan State because it is not too far from home and because they have a great nursing program. Honestly, I can see myself in this situation. I believe it is a very realistic and achievable future plan.

Career Video Surprises
I researched Nursing for my career and I was surprised at what I found. As a registered nurse, I could be working in different environments, such as hospitals and nursing homes, and working with radiation and other dangerous technology to treat patients. I wasn't aware that I could be using such complicated technology.
The second career I researched was physician assistants. A physician assistant is like a physician, but required less schooling. They are supervised at all times by a physician. I am surprised at all of the duties they can preform, such as take medical histories, preform physicals, prescribe medication, and stitch up minor wounds.
The third career I researched was a respiratory therapist. They help people who cannot breathe because of a illness or injury. This career only requires an Associates degree, which is very surprising.

My Movie Project

We recently had to make a movie out of a children's book. My favorite part of making the movie was getting to be creative with the sounds and pictures to recreate the story. In my project, I was really excited that my ending turned out as I imagined. I really liked the music I chose, I think it was a good addition for a children's book. The most difficult part of the whole project was my need to make everything perfect. I am a perfectionist, and I do not like to turn anything in until it is exactly how I want it to be. Unfortunately, I had to do that with my movie, and if I could change one thing about the project, I would give myself more time to put music and sound effects all the way through to make it even better. Overall, I really liked this project and I hope we do it again before the end of the year. I love projects that let me get creative and using movie maker.

In Ten Years...
Ten years from now, I will be 27. I will have already completed college with a bachelor's degree in nursing. I will have a solid career that I love and that makes me happy. I will want to go back to college soon to further my career and become a nurse practitioner.
I hope that maybe by this time in my life, I will dating someone or already be married. I want kids, but not until after I am married and my career is very stable.
When I am 27, I hope to own a house and a nice, new car. Overall, in ten years, I wish to have a good career, be financially independent, and happy.
